Block site from search engines
All websites on Stanford Sites are exposed to search engines upon provisioning. This means when you request a new website, all search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) can start crawling your content.
While building your website, you may want to temporarily block it from search engines to avoid inaccurate or incomplete content from appearing in search results.
To temporarily or permanently block your website from crawling by search engines, submit a request to the SWS team for assistance.
