Set a Page Type - Experimental

Setting a Basic Page Type allows you to organize content based on predefined taxonomy.

Basic Page Type taxonomies allow you to categorize and group your content. For example, you can create a Basic Page Type called “Research Project,” then build a list of pages using that identifier.

This feature is experimental, it may change in the future.

You may only add one Basic Page Type taxonomy to any particular page.

When building Basic Page Type vocabulary, you should choose terms that represent broad categories, rather than narrow descriptions. For example, “Research Projects” would be a good broad category,  but “Alzheimer Research” may be too narrow.

  1. Add a new term to your site’s “Basic Page Types” vocabulary. See Adding new taxonomy terms.
  2. Create a new Basic Page (or edit an existing page).
  3. Scroll down to the Page Metadata.
  4. Click on the Basic Page Type (experimental) drop-down menu and select a term.
  5. Click Save.
